English: The Atlantic (June 28, 2003) - Attack Craft Unit Four (ACU-4) "Hoper 27" aboard USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) deployed Second Marine Expeditionary Force (2-MEB) equipment to Onslow Bay which was brought NC Kearsarge and 2-MEB are on their way home from a successful deployment. The multirole amphibious assault ship participated in Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and supported the US president in meetings with Arab leaders in Egypt and Jordan. Kearsarge was also extended deployment when ordered to prepare in support of Operation Shin's Express in West Africa. The Kearsarge is scheduled to arrive at Naval Station Norfolk on June 30.
