2022 Navy Prt Standards - The information below regarding PRT 2022 standards for men ages 30-34 is taken from the FIVE manual in the Navy's Physical Readiness Program. This new update includes official information on how the Navy's official physical fitness tests and recruiting standards will work.
What makes this update interesting is the new 2km range introduction and future plans. Indicated as an alternative to a 1.5 mile run or 500yd/450m swim for those cold weather commands without access to a pool. Front planks have now finally replaced the hated space as a better and much safer option for measuring core strength and endurance.
2022 Navy Prt Standards
While the Navy initially intended to have similar reference standards for both men and women, they learned from an analysis of 26,000 forward plan records from the CY2021 PFA that there were small gender performance differences. As a result, the Navy revised the forward plan standards to be gender specific (ie, separate male and female point schedules) with gradual age classification. The first updated standards for male and female forwards can be found in Guide 5 and are scheduled to be updated in both the MyNavy Portal and the official PFA app by April 1, 2022.
