57 handgun round

57 Handgun Round - All new Ruger-57 pistols are specialty pistols with 5.7×28mm bullets. The 5.7 x 28mm (5.7) Pistol Printer Case developed by FN in the 1980s is a high-speed pistol printer case based on the SS109 NATO 5.56 x 45mm. The ammo is fast, delivering around 2,000 feet per second when it comes out of a 5-inch container. Ruger here in the US just introduced at the end of December 2019 their 57 models that use a 5.7x28mm printer case. I was lucky enough to be offered the first "hot-off-click" Ruger-57 pistol to review and share with you.

Without a doubt, the 5.7x28mm printer box is a perfect printer box that offers a number of advantages. The holster and 5.7-round ammo have been scaled down to create what some say is an upgrade to 9x19mm. The circle is a long skinny design with a bottle cap and pointers, as you can see in the photo above. It is almost four times as long as the diameter. This compares to a standard 9mm ring which is approximately 1.5 times as long. The 5.7x28mm ring has its center point toward the rear of the bullet more than any other bullet. Therefore, when the 5.7 round hits its target, the bullet tends to drop or push forward and warp from side to side, making the wound hole larger. This makes the transfer of ammo energy to the target more efficient, with less chance of penetrating the target past the target to what is behind it. Therefore, the wound cavity is larger; More energy transfer; Less penetration; Further expansion. Many say that the 5.7mm is only one third the recoil of the 5.6mm NATO and two thirds of the 9x19mm. The printer case pressure level is low enough for the gun to work and reduces blowback. I had to shoot myself to see how the combo felt and compare it to an FN 5.7 pistol, which I reviewed here in December 2016.

Opinions are mixed about the 5.7 print cartridge and the gun, and it depends on how you define and measure "performance." While criticized by gun control groups, an ATF investigation found that no bullets had been fired for the civilian market. Among the 5.7 pistols are capable of defeating shells, as some claim. The second generation 5.7 cartridge was developed for the law enforcement and civilian market. Lead-free "LF" (SS195LF) shells can be used for training and law enforcement, while the SS197SR is for civilian use as armored ammunition is banned in the US. A round bore lead-free (HP ) with a -lead primer and projectile. It's even designed for use on indoor ranges or where potential contamination is a concern. (I like the outside line.)

Some say the price for the 5.7 x 28mm bezel is too distracting. Think about this. The price for a civilian grade SS197SR shell is around $20. Per 50 round while the HP SS195LF hovers around $25 per 50 round. So the amperage seems to be comparable to the .45 ACP (eg Speer Gold Dot 230 grain HP $28 for 50 rnds) and other circuits (eg Federal Premium .40 S&W 155 grain HP $28 for 50 rnds). Personal luggage preferences.

The 5.7 is operating with military and police forces in more than 40 countries, including Canada, France, Spain, Greece, India, Poland, and the United States, as well as with US intelligence, Navy Seals, and federal defense services. The Ruger Double Action 5.7 Inner Hammer is not an SAO firing pin, as some claim, but it always strikes when there is a round in the chamber. There is no decocker device. So I had to try 5.7 for myself to see if this particular gun and ability would work for me, even though I did like the 9mm. You can compare this review to my analysis, comparisons, and ratings in the second edition of my book "Concealed Carry & Handgun Essentials."

What follows then are the specs and specifications for the Ruger-57 pistol. Then I give you my 10 criteria that I use to evaluate all weapons. Finally, I present my analysis and how I specifically evaluate the gun against my 10 criteria for recommending it or not. As always, set your own criteria and priorities, do your own research, and check out my data, information, etc. with you for your personal selection process.

These are just my 10 criteria and the factors I use to evaluate any pistol, so I'll use them for the Ruger-57. In addition to my criteria, there are other topics that may appeal to some people, such as specific styling, placement, loader release, activity, size, shape, number of loaders included, view/modification type , shaft diameter, rail, grip angle, portless or ported include extras like sleeves and customer service bags. I have to admit that all weapon selection decisions involve trading, but I really want all of my criteria to be met. I set a total of 10 possible points for each of my 10 criteria for a total of 100 possible points. In fact, you can add your own additional criteria and preferences or remove any of my sections.

First Review] The New Ruger 57 5.7x28mm Pistol

You acknowledge that there are many functions, features, advantages and disadvantages, and personal criteria to include and consider, and that you make your own transactions based on your priorities, preferences, needs, and usage.

I wanted to shoot this pistol and bought a 40 grain Federal American Eagle 5.7x28mm ammo, AE5728A. This ammo is readily available and you can shop around for the best ammo prices. 5.7 ammo is provided by FN Herstal, Federal and Speer. I went through this supply very quickly and had to shoot more to sufficiently test and evaluate. I'm thankful Ruger donated a few more guns. This gun is a lot of fun to shoot, and I was surprised at how accurate it was, the lack of a muzzle, and software for such a lightweight rifle. I enjoy shooting around 400 rounds and can't put this good gun down. I usually shoot 500 rounds in a few days to decide if I want to use the gun and how best to use it. Below are my ratings for my top 10 criteria for the Ruger-57 for my home defense and long-range shooting purposes. I'm also considering whether this lightweight pistol with a 4.9-inch barrel and 5.6-inch height could be a pistol, or not? For me, it's not too heavy, too big, or too hard to hide. I know some take it. I want to put the gun in full throttle and have it thoroughly checked for anomalies, stopping accuracy and reliability. Thanks to Ruger for providing some rounds of Federal American Eagle and FNH ammo to test and evaluate my pistol.

This Ruger-57 pistol works great. There are no breakdowns or stalls, and I like the 20-speed motor. Dissolves various types of ammonia without any problem. I was honestly surprised at the lowest dizziness and almost no rise. I can honestly say that the rotation is less even than my 9mm and I probably like my .22 mag rounds. It's as easy and smooth as butter to handle when I put a slide in, and it's a breeze to insert and disassemble from scratch. And the magazines fell quickly and easily from the pit. It works particularly well. I was fascinated by the short, smooth, tapered triggers, similar to those on my single-action pistol, although it was a double-action before. I like the ergonomics and lines of this pistol. Despite the polymer material, it felt solid in my hands as it was so lightweight. It was very comfortable in my hands and the texture of the medium grip was just right for me. The grip is slimmer but longer and visually wider to accommodate up to 20 turns in the manhole. For my medium hands, the grip seems correct and comfortable. Once again I would like to highlight the nice smooth rotation and low level if there is a surge for this gun. Great functionality and functionality to increase accuracy. Below I will be specific and give my opinion for each of my criteria after testing my range.

At varying distances, especially 10-25 yards, accuracy is acceptable, but shoot yourself to make your own decisions based on your abilities and skills...and your budget.

Best Ruger 57 Red Dot [top 8 List]...

The Ruger-57's accuracy is perfect for me, from 5 to 25 yards. This old man was satisfied, but the gun did most of the work. I don't have to adjust the rear sight to lift or get air out of the box. After not editing anything, my preference is very good. 4.75#
